Mulch Madness 2025
Greencastle Scouting is bringing back our annual Mulch Madness Fundraiser to help our youth raise funds for various outdoors based high adventure experiences. This year our troops are organizing:
- A 5 day back-county backpacking trip through the Red River Gorge in Kentucky.
- A Historic tour of the Eastern U.S. centered around Philadelphia and Gettysburg, where scouts will learn U.S. History and hike trails used during historic battles at our country's founding, and even staying overnight on the USS Missouri.
- A trip to Scouts BSA's Sea Base, where scouts will spend 5 days at sea learning to sail, fish, and fend for themselves in the great outdoors.
- A week at Ransburg Scout reservation where scouts learn life skills as they pursue merit badges in various subjects, rank advancements, and learn to be considerate and conservative in the outdoors.
The Scouts BSA initiative is crafted to immerse youth in the enchantment of the wilderness and cultivate leadership qualities through experiential learning activities.
Forest Fines
The Forest Fines mulch is an all natural, fine stranded mulch product that is lightweight and airy. Forest Fines is great for added water retention value around the base of plants, or for aerating the soil in gardens and flower beds!
Due to its lightweight properties, Forest Fines does not make a great top dressing in areas susceptible to high winds. However, spreading a few bags of this in your flowerbed or garden, then topping with one of our premium products allows you to reach optimal mulch height, soil aeration, water retention, and presentation layer for a great growing season.

Premium Dyed Black Mulch

The Dyed Brown Mulch presents a natural looking, deep brown color that lasts. This provides a great backdrop to your planting environment. Great in gardens, flowerbeds, and planters, this mulch provides great protection for your plants without any added chemicals.
